Abominations (Soap)

FLESH & MANE is a small business. Seriously, we're a couple of gothy weirdos in southern Washington making soap and beard oil out of our (very) modest workshop. We can make some seriously excellent quality products for you. We can also royally f*** up a batch.

Abominations are the soaps we made where something went wrong, but the soap is still perfectly useable. Examples include forgetting to add fragrance (soap is fine, just unscented), bars that were cut crooked (all else is fine, just looks obviously messed up), or bars with holes in them (this happens when the batter goes into the molds too thick and air pockets remain). 

In other words, these are our "uglies."

We don't want to lose money on the mistakes, so we're offering them up to you here at a pretty sweet discount. You get bargain soap, and we can recoup some of the costs of our mistakes. It's a win-win!

Currently on Offer:

Hellfire - Cinnamon whiskey scent. The scent is fine, the soap works like soap. But we let the batch get a little too hot due to a CHEAP STUPID THERMOMETER (we're not bitter, we're fine....), so the design ended up muddled. This cloudy look happens instead of the nice defined bands when the heat gets too hot and the soap essentially flows like lava within the mold, shifting the design. It can also scorch the colors, giving you what you see pictured here. Yellow, orange, and red, turns into orange, a pale yellow, and a burnt sienna that doesn't even look like red. But the soap works, and it smells like it's supposed to smell, so grab some perfectly good soap on a discount!
